Couples Labour Preparation

Prenatal Yoga is an effective, safe and enjoyable way to increase comfort during pregnancy and prepare for an empowered birth. The session will  also enable your partner to experience  a deeper awareness through yoga sequences, breath awareness and restorative postures preparing you both for the labour. The couple labour preparation is aimed when the mum is 30 weeks plus. Perfect if you are considering a home birth or if you are at home for the early stages of labour. The sessions will leave you both feeling confident and relaxed when the time arrives.

The sessions include:

 

How to  relieve common issues that arise during pregnancy such as back pain, sciatica, leg cramps, leg swelling, exhaustion, stiff muscles and insomnia.

 

Breathing techniques  particularly focusing on during contractions. 

 

Provides the birth partner with knowledge and increases their confidence in their ability to support the birthing Mum.


We’ll go over a variety of postures and movements that you can adopt depending on your energy levels and what props  may help support you during labour.

 

Massage techniques for your partner to learn for pain reduction, keeping you relaxed and breathing in the moment.

 

The sessions are aimed to be fun. encouraging unity and trust between  both partners and also creating a nurturing time to connect with your baby.
